FIORELLA BERTUZZO
Paintress

ARTIST
Born in Vicenza in 1939, Fiorella Bertuzzo has been painting all her life, pursuing her talent since she was a small child. She liked colored pencils the most, as they allowed her to reproduce what she saw in a timeless play of shapes, colors, beauty, and emotions reflecting her innermost self.

From an early age, Fiorella has devoted herself to honing her artistic practice with unwavering commitment and passion and is now a professional artist with a studio based in Milan. Throughout her career she has continued to inform her work through direct experience.

Following the suggestions provided by art critics, she developed new shapes and harmonies in her paintings. The finesse of Fiorella’s portraits and her interpretation of reality rich in emotional nuances and intensity are a testament to the artistic maturity attained by the painter. Quoting a critique by Prof. Mario Monteverdi written in that period:

“Fiorella Bertuzzo may be regarded as a Realist painter interpreting images through direct experience, mastering a technique developed through personal experimentation, based on her instinctive grasp of the pictorial language.
With her accessible yet unconventional way of expression, F.B. shows us a clear path to regain poetry while staying true to the values of art…”
In Milan, the painter took part in numerous exhibitions (see list) and was acclaimed by critics who validated her personal journey of continuous exploration and practice.
Another important period of the artist’s life was spent in Tarquinia. Inspired by the city’s mesmerizing light, local art, and wondrous landscapes, Fiorella discovered new sources of emotions and energies, resulting in a new and copious production of paintings.

Currently, she resides in Imperia, a delightful town in the Liguria region of Italy. Nestled between the sea and the hills, Fiorella spends her mature years painting with greater conviction and pictorial intensity, conveying her expressive talent with renewed awareness.
